WTDEP004 Introduces Cordsen’s concept of Deep Dark Blue related to his vision of techno. The repetitive and obscure music journey symbolizes the artist’s feeling of lostness in a world where everything looks a copy of something else. The only way to see the light is to break the normality and fight this battle together with like-minded individuals.
The tune “Me, Metals and Machines” is close to a sound design project: various recordings are re-modulated in a dark broad panorama where elements are tightened together. Sounds borrowed by factories, rural machines and metal objects build the appropriate industrial introduction to the EP.
“Psychedelia” hits the ground running with a never ending loop that tips in your brain and imposes a bitter mood. Clap and snare chase each other forming a continuous vortex of mid to high end frequencies. The lead has a modulated intensity going up and down and back and forth, leaving a sense of controlled instability.
“R.Z. Drone” idea is to present a possible escape from chaos and self destruction. A drone-like sound sneaks through the whole track. The lead makes its appearance like the evil forces would chase the main character in a movie. This track is a send out to space.
“Psychedelia (Flaminia remix)” recalls the hypnotic loop of the original version and lifts it up on a layer of distorted drums. The background atmosphere reminds you of an imminent end of the world while the new lead alternates with the old one. The track rolls forward until it fades out like a light would disappear at the end of the horizon.

sometimes you lose the measure.

there hides a light
